Why the Boss Looks Better Than It Is

A boss fish carries the biggest multiplier on screen, but that number only pays if the fish dies to your bullet. Every shot that fails to finish it still costs your full bet per bullet, and other players in a shared room may land the kill first. Multipliers and kill rules vary by title, so read the paytable of each game before assuming anything.

Outcomes are decided by the game's certified random number generator. Aim and timing change which targets you spend on; they do not make a boss predictable.

The Pre-Shot Checklist

• Open the paytable and find the boss's listed multiplier or range for this specific title.

Bullet-Cost Arithmetic, With a Made-Up Example

If the boss dies to your bullet at a 100× multiplier, the payout is 100 × ₱2 = ₱200, which is ₱100 less than the bullets cost. At 200×, the same kill pays ₱400, a ₱100 gain. If the boss swims off after 150 shots, the whole ₱300 is gone.

The shape matters more than the figures: the break-even shot count equals the multiplier. At 100× with ₱2 bullets, any kill that took more than 100 of your shots cost more than it paid.

Pitfalls That Drain a Commute Session

• Raising the cannon level mid-chase because the boss looks nearly dead; hit effects are not a promise of a kill.
• Leaving auto-fire running while you read a message, spending bullets at a pace you never chose.
• Following a boss across the screen while the small, cheaper targets you meant to play drift past.
• Counting only the kill payout and forgetting the shots that missed or landed without finishing it.
• Topping up the balance to keep chasing a boss that has already cost more than planned.
• Believing a boss is due to die because it has absorbed plenty of shots; each hit is resolved independently.

A Calmer Way to Play the Room

1. Start at the lowest bet per bullet the room allows.
2. Spend most of the session on fish whose value you can price clearly.
3. Take shots at a boss only within the bullet budget from your checklist.
4. Stop when that budget is used, whether the boss died or not.
